It sometimes amazes me how we as people always cheer on the underdog to stretch himself beyond belief to dethrone the superior, the way directors add flavor to the story and magnify the success of the underdog over his superior counterpart not only works as a catalyst but even makes grown men cry.
I for one have been fascinated to a large degree by underdogs in business branding them as "corporate underdogs" . Be it Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, Hugh Hefner etc who took on the world and despite all odds battled their way through to success and ended up building large corporations. If being a "corporate underdog" is not good enough imagine creating a mighty huge empire and then falling off the corporate ladder and inorder to avenge the defeat set up another fortune 500 company, all this is part of the corporate roller -coaster which may reach dizzying heights, if the the underdog lives to tell the story he is now branded the "immortal". This to many may seem like a Houdini act but it definitely takes a lot more grit and determination. To me the story of the underdog is one which cannot be learnt through manuscripts, teachings etc but it is all from within and needs a killer instinct.
